1) Fish oil

Fish oil contains omega 3 fatty acids which are considered to be beneficial for heart. Fish oil is very useful for people who are suffering from or have a high risk of cardiovascular diseases. According to research the omega 3 fatty acids decrease the problem of abnormal heart beats which is one of the major causes of sudden death. These fatty acids also help in lowering the blood pressure.

2) Vitamin C

It is a water soluble vitamin which is used for formation and repairing the red blood cells along with other body tissues. Beside this, vitamin C help in keeping the blood vessels firm and keep the immune system of body strong. There are a lot of heart heath supplements which include vitamin C and it is also found in many citrus fruits. Intake of vitamin C along with other blood pressure medications helps in decreasing the systolic blood pressure.

3) Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin which is found in number of food items and vegetable oils which include cottonseed, corn, saf-flower and soybean oil. It is considered to be a powerful antioxidant. 4) Magnesium

Magnesium is an element which is required in small amount for body. According to research, the problem of high blood pressure is associated with deficiency of magnesium. The high level intake of magnesium also lessens the risk of getting diabetes. 5) Vitamin D

6) Co Enzyme Q-10

It is also known as CoQ10. It is known for its ability to prevent and treat the heart diseases as it increases the energy production, prevent the formation of blood clot and behave as an antioxidant. It has been proved that people using heart health supplements including CoQ10 as an ingredient, are less likely to suffer from heart attacks.

7) Selenium

Selenium has proved to lower the cholesterol level and remove the plague which builds up with the passage of time in arteries. However there is no solid evidence that its combination with other ingredients reduces the risk of heart disease.
